Site of the day: 7 Ways to Encourage Language Learning During the Summer Break

FSF 2D  

le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment mieux lire et écrire.

• Reading and Writing exam: Wed. June 22, 9 - 10:30 am in classroom 316
• auto-évaluation - les habilités d'apprentissage et l'interaction orale
• article presentation/discussion
• le futur simple, le conditionnel - review, discussion, handouts
• exam written composition. Choose topic from this link. Students will be preparing a reference sheet outline to bring to the exam which may also include grammar notes. 
• les devoirs: Should be spending 15 - 20 minutes daily on French home study Monday through Thursday. If all class work is completed, follow suggestions in Home Study extras
• Review for exams. Prepare reference sheet for exam. 

ENG 1D

ENG1D period 3

learning goal: We are reviewing concepts learned this semester.

• Written/reading exam Fri. June 24, 9:00 am - 10:30.
• self-assessment - learning skills and work habits
• Time to read article for exam and discuss in small groups. Make notes on that paper to prepare for exam.
• Discussed importance of grammar, spelling, punctuation and distributed lesson/review/practice packages.
• Twelfth Night - film
• Homework: Get in the habit of doing 20 - 30 minutes of English homework every night Monday to Thursday. Review lessons, extend your knowledge or read.
• PSA presentations - Submit all 5 papers if not already done. Optional - include a simple cover sheet.
• Independent reading. Bring a book to read quietly in class for any time that you finish your classwork early. Read regularly at home.
