Ms. K-J will not be at school this week but has left lots of work for the students to do with well-qualified substitute teachers.  The expectation is that the students will be able to work on their own, with their groups and with the guidance of the substitute teacher to take responsibility for their learning.  There is no homework assigned for the March Break provided students work well enough during the week and for 20 - 30 minutes each evening Mon - Thurs to complete the work assigned.

FIF 1D
  •  le but d'apprentissage: Comment mieux lire.
  • Students will be reading several chapters of Notre Dame de Paris and supplementary articles about Paris included in the book.  They are expected to take notes using the literature circle pages provided and to answer questions #1, 2 and 3 for each chapter.
  • Test: les verbes au present on Thurs. March 10 (originally scheduled for Wed. March 9).  We have been reviewing and practising these verbs in different formats for a few weeks now.  Students should complete the 9 page handout package and check them using the answer keys posted at the back of the classroom as well as other practise and studying to be well prepared for the test.

  •  le but d'apprentissage: Comment mieux lire.
  •  Students will be reading "La Parure" using literature circles in groups.   They are expected to work together to help each other understand the story, to take notes and to answer the questions on the new handout provided (don't worry about the questions previously given).  There is also an activity outlined on a handout that they can begin to work on and which we will continue after the break.
