FIF 3U

• le but d'apprentissage: Comment parler des opinions, des sentiments et des doutes.
• Exam: Written - Wed. June 20, listening - in class in last week of school - date to be determined
• Upcoming work/assessments:
• le subjonctif - test sommative - le mercredi 6 juin OU le jeudi 7 juin - Choice of the student for what works better for them. Must prepare and may use summary note (preferably done as a mind-map) as a reference sheet for the test. Complete and check handout pre-tests to help prepare.
• La Route de Chlifa/Incendies - written report/reaction. Bonne copie + all parts were due le vendredi 1er juin. Must be handed in with late note.
• la présentation orale - culminating. Distributed mind-map of success criteria. Will be presented week of June 11-15 - sign up in classroom. Topic - your choice. Format - your choice (i.e. discours formel, PowerPoint, Prezzi, video, etc.). Length - 2 min. May do with a partner - 3 1/2 - 4 min. Objective - show what learned this year. Also will submit written outline.

FSF 1D

• le but d'apprentissage: Comment éviter la répétition.
• Exam - written Thurs June 21, 9 am, listening - in class June 12, spoken - in class June 13 - 15. More details soon.  Gave handout and explanation for oral exam then looked at the 3 choices of readings.  Must choose one, then will receive photocopy.
• écoute - le pronom "y"
• le pronom "en": corrected handout pgs. 156-7, speaking, discussion, explanations
• les devoirs:  les pronoms - handouts pgs. 203-204, start preparing for oral exam.

FSF 2D

• le but d'apprentissage: Comment exprimer les possibilités.
• Exam - written Fri. June 22, 9 am, listening - in class June 7, spoken - in class June 13 - 15. More details soon.
• Listening exam tomorrow.  Talked about the exam and how to prepare - get a good sleep, do something French i.e. homework study, reading, watching a DVD or TV in French - before bed, have a good breakfast, eat a decent lunch, make sure you drink water during the day, control your stress level (relax, it's all good).
• Oral exam: next Wed/Thurs June 13 - 14 (15 if needed):  Gave handout with details and went over it together.
• Gave handout with practice activities for l'ordre des pronoms.  Answer keys posted on side board.
• Gave handout for les prépositions et les noms géographiques and mini-lesson - discussion and very brief note on board. Answer keys posted on side board.
• le conditionnel et si + l'imparfait - review and further discussion.  Completed note & went over expectations for the rest of the handout given on Monday.  Answer keys posted on side board.
• les devoirs:  20 - 30 minutes of French - prepare for listening exam (see point above) and/or work on oral exam and/or handouts.
