le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous montrons comment nous écrivons.
  • Briefly discussed le Carnaval de Québec and watched videos: Lumocité, Crashed Ice World Championships 2012 & Rick Mercer goes ice canoeing.
  • review lesson: les adjectifs.
  • test diagnostique: handout.  Went over together and detailed writing process expected.  Chose topic A or B and started work.  Encouraged discussion of ideas and planning together.  Brouillon (draft) is due tomorrow for peer editing.    Please double space all work.  Follow directions on handout carefully.
  • Les devoirs (homework):  Brouillon Test Diagnostique due tomorrow.  Bonne Copie due Fri Feb 8 along with "les idées", "le plan" & "le brouillon" with evidence of editing.

  • Briefly discussed le Carnaval de Québec and watched video Carnaval de Québec.  Followed up with small group discussions and game.
  • review lesson: les verbes au présent - réguliers & avoir & être.  2 handouts to practice - not due until Friday or even next week.  Answers will be posted at the back of the classroom.
  • Qui suis-je?  Work time.  Follow directions on handout distributed yesterday carefully.  Used resource sheets to help with personality questions (2 required).  Possiblilities:  "Je suis..."   "Je ne suis pas..."   "Je me considère comme..."
  • les devoirs:  Qui suis-je?  Brouillon (draft) due tomorrow for peer editing.  Bonne copie due Fri. Feb. 8 - may be hand written or typed.  Must also hand in idea sheet and brouillon with evidence of editing.

  • Work time: test diagnostique.  Should have finished idea sheet and plan today and started to write le brouillon (draft) - double-spaced, due tomorrow for peer editing.  Follow directions on handout carefully.
  • les devoirs:  test diagnostique - brouillon due tomorrow.  Bonne copie due Fri. Feb 8 and will be handing in all 4 parts (ideas, plan, brouillon with editing, good copy)
