le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Comment donner les directives.
  • l'impératif: How to tell someone to do something - checked homework from yesterday (handout word search puzzle pg. 8), did handout practice pg 7 together using student book pgs 7 & 30, made "Loto" game card to use tomorrow (bingo-type card - 5 x 5 squares, fill in squares in random order using impératif form (variety of "tu", "nous" and "vous" forms) of the following verbs - choisir, attendre, suivre, venir, aller, commencer, arrêter, manger, prendre, perdre, essayer, applaudir.  Most students finished in class time.
  • les devoirs:
    • finish Loto card if not already done
    • workbook handout pg 8 - puzzle - if didn't finish for today
    • get your binder organized with dividers.

le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Comment parler des événements au passé.
  • le passé simple - checked and corrected practice handouts from pkg given yesterday - Do activity A1 orally, A2 and B3 written, B4 orally - practiced questions/answers for A1 orally, paying attention to use of pronouns.
  • oral/reading activity - corrections for le passé composé
  • DELF activities - compréhension orale - A2, Partie 1, activités 5 à 10
  • les devoirs:
    • Find a video or program in French on the internet or on television (interview, weather report, news report etc) and listen to it to work on authentic listening skills.  Don't worry if you don't understand every word.
    • get your binder organized with dividers. Consider adding a section for DELF activities.

le but d'apprentissage: Comment faire un curriculum vitae & un portfolio.
  • We will be in the computer lab on Thurs. Sept 27 to work on CV and/or portfolio
  • Work time in class - portfolio or work on CV planning. Take class time to discuss progress with partners in class to share ideas.  Looked at examples of portfolios created
  • les devoirs:
    • Mon portfolio - due Fri Sept 28, but may hand in on Mon Oct 1 without being counted as late (advantage - hand in on Fri = no homework for weekend)
    • Curriculum Vitae - reflection and planning - not due until probably late next week
