FIF 1D
le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment parler et écrire de nous-mêmes. 
  • Watched video: Montreal by Winter  Montreal Winter 2012 - time lapse  A Monday morning in Montreal
  • Moi-même 
    • oral: recording in library tomorrow with iPads.  Gave index cards to make very brief notes.  Students may think about what they will say, but are cautioned to not practice as it is intended as a base-line assessment of la production orale, not as a prepared speech.  We will repeat this in January so that we can assess the progress made over the semester.
    • écrit (the writing process): Time to work on brouillon in class - due Fri Sept 13, must be double-spaced on paper for editing, so print it if prepared on computer.  May bring a laptop or tablet or use smartphone in class if you wish to type, but handwritten is fine.  Follow directions on handout given Monday.
  • Practice activities handout package - les verbes au présent.  Answers posted at the back of the classroom and in separate blog posting "FIF 1D les verbes au présent - les réponses".  Check and correct own work.  Due Fri Sept 20 - will be checked before test that day.  This is a method to help you study and learn your verbs before the test.
  • les devoirs:  Work on brouillon for 4 parts of "Moi-même" - due Fri Sept 13.
    • Practise/study les verbes au présent - chart, practice pages, test - Fri Sept 20.

  • mini-lesson & review: l'imparfait, le futur simple, le conditionnel - see photos of very rough board work we did to illustrate explanations
