- Watched a few episodes of le calendrier du decembre (as above).
- Essay contest - scholarship money for prizes French for the Future - Concours de rédaction
- l'article du journal: Due: today - le jeudi 11 décembre, but will not be counted as late if handed in tomorrow. Topic: an incident from Cyrano de Bergerac, or, an incident from your own past. Hand in all 5 parts in this order - la bonne copie. le brouillon, la liste de contrôle, le plan, la grille d'évaluation (rubric)
- Today - we looked at the rubric and did a self or peer assessment. Students who wish to further edit their article because of this self-assessment may do so and hand it in tomorrow - not late.
- le plan: mind-map (brainstorming/le remue-méninges, outline) was due Dec. 3.
- draft due Dec. 8 - make sure to do a "save as" and print then use la liste de contrôle (checklist) with a partner for editing the draft. Use checklist given to ensure that you have finished all parts. Use for editing with your partner.
- full assignment due Dec. 11. (all parts - good copy with photo/image, draft(s) showing proof of editing, la liste de contrôle, le plan. May be typed or handwritten.

- reading, re-reading and questions in handout package which will be due before the winter holiday break. This is work that will be completed in class, so students must use their class time effectively.

- We didn't make the top 5 finalists for "la meilleure classe de français en Ontario" from University of Ottawa, but we did an amazing video. Here are the U of Ottawa top 5 videos and a link to Westdale 2014 la meilleure classe de français . I will be creating a separate blog post to celebrate our marvelous work and I encourage you to share it.

- presentations for literature circles Thurs. Dec. 11. group - summary of book (10 -15 sentences or so), individual - reaction/personal connection to the book (5 - 10 sentences). Your presentation will be evaluated, and the goal is to speak in an interactive fashion, not a memorized speech.
