Site of the day: le calendrier de décembre 
Final Exams in January: 
  • all my classes will do their speaking exam on Jan. 8 during class time.  We will be doing specific preparation for that beginning Jan. 5, but it is a culmination of all the speaking we have been doing in class and outside of class throughout the semester.
  • listening exam: in class.  tentatively Jan. 15.
  • writing/reading exams - 10 am - noon, in classroom 316
    • FIF 2D (period 1) Wed. Jan. 21
    • FIF 1D (period 2) Thurs. Jan. 22
    • FSF 2D (period 3) Fri. Jan. 23

le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment mieux écouter.
  • Watched a few short videos about le Marché de Noël from different cities in France, Belgium and Quebec including le Champs-Elysées and Strasbourg
  • chanson: Ca c'est Noël Robert Paquette et Jean-Guy Labelle- listening and singing.
  • Essay contest - scholarship money for prizes French for the Future - Concours de rédaction
  • compréhension écrite: Reading - choice of several articles from the current edition of Coup de Pouce and Quebec Elle - read in groups, summarized orally, jigsaw activity to learn about other articles.
  • les devoirs:
      • l'article du journal - project with all 5 parts was due Dec.12.  Must now include late explanation note.
      • journal/blog (with checklist) was due December 12.  See blog/journal FIF 2D or handout (with checklist) given in September for details.  See Ms.K-J for another copy of the assignment sheet if needed. Must now include late explanation note.

          • Checked and corrected scenes 11 - 26.
          • reading, re-reading and questions in handout package which will be due before the winter holiday break.  This is work that will be completed in class, so students must use their class time effectively.  Students who have not finished to the end of scene 41 were given books to take home to get caught up.
        • Watched a few short videos about le Marché de Noël from different cities in France, Belgium and Quebec including le Champs-Elysées and Strasbourg

            • Au revoir les enfants - to end of scene 41 (if not already done.)
