le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment mieux écouter, parler, lire et écrire.  
  • exams: written - period 2 - Thurs Jan 23, 10 am - 12 noon
    • listening - did Thurs Jan 16, in class
    • speaking - did Fri Jan 17, in class.  Please see blog posting l'examen oral for more ideas and details.
  • Work/study time:
    • gave mini-exam & went over it together.  We will be correcting it together tomorrow.
    • la production écrite (make plan for written reflection paragraph)
    • Révisez la grammaire: re-faites les notes, faites les "fiches de tricher", regardez les fiches de travail et les tests. 
  • les devoirs: students are encouraged to spend some time reviewing French to prepare for exams. 
    • Finish mini-exam for tomorrow.
    • review for exam - organize binder, re-do notes, practice activities or tests, find practice activities or games on internet...

  • Forum national des jeunes ambassadeurs:  Opportunity for leadership training in promoting bilingualism Aug 7 - 12, 2014 in Sudbury, Ontario.  National forum for young ambassadors - apply in February but think about it now. 
  • Finished working on presentations for "le livret pour les nuls".  We will do all presentations in class tomorrow.  Don't forget to email the sentences to Ms.K-J to create the keepsake booklet.
  • Work/study time: prepare for exams. 
    • gave mini-exam & went over it together.  We will be correcting it together tomorrow.

    • les expressions impersonnelles & le subjonctif - Worked on "le livret pour les nuls" project - "booklet for Dummies".  Written & oral presentations for last couple of days of classes using impersonal expressions & le subjonctif.  Please submit electronic copies of your sentences to me tonight so that I can put them together and make copies for the whole class.
