Site of the day: Christmas in France

ENG 2D 

learning goal: We are reading for meaning.

• To Kill a Mockingbird
• Quiz chapters 12 - 14
• Continue with package for literature circles/semi-independent work. Complete vocabulary and discussion questions for chapters 15 - 17 - quiz Monday Dec. 14. Here is the post with a summary of the class instructions and photos of the answer keys.
• No homework if all caught up for the work this week. Some suggestions if you wish to do some work:
• To Kill a Mockingbird chapters 15 - 17 - prepare for quiz Monday.
• Bring a book to read quietly in class for any time that you finish your class work early. Read regularly at home.

FIF 1D

• Blog due today - by midnight (but I hope you are not working on it still that late!!). Can submit checklist Monday. See below for details.
• Notre-Dame de Paris - comparison of 2 versions - due today. May be submitted on Monday and not counted late. May be submitted through Google Drive. Only need to hand in the good copy for this assignment.
• Au revoir les enfants:  Reviewed scenes 1 - 3, read scenes 4 - 5, discussion and questions. We will continue this on Monday.
• DVD: "Maman, j'ai raté l'avion"
• Pas de devoirs pour la fin de semaine as long as all caught up. Students may wish to do some review or practice. See suggestions below.
• Home Study extras
• Blog is due today Friday December 11. See this post: Journal/blog FIF 1D or your assignment paper for details. When all done, complete the checklist to submit along with the rubric. If finished late, no marks are deducted, but must complete Late Assignment Explanation form.  Pick one up from the classroom or print it from the link.
• Notre-Dame de Paris - comparison due Fri. Dec. 11, or Mon. Dec. 14.  See above for details.
• Re-read Au revoir les enfants scenes 1 - 5.
• Optional re-test le passé composé et l'imparfait next week. See Re-test post for procedures.
