learning goal: We are reading for meaning.
- To Kill a Mockingbird: Gave package for literature circles/semi-independent work. Completed vocabulary and discussion questions for chapters 1 - 3 - quiz will be Tues. Dec. 8. Started work for ch.4 - 7 - quiz will be Tues Dec. 8 also. Here is the post with a summary of the class instructions and photos of the answer keys.
- No homework if all caught up for the work this week. Some suggestions if you wish to do some work:
- Try to watch an old film - from prior to 1980 - or do some research on old films.
- May wish to read chapters
- Bring a book to read quietly in class for any time that you finish your class work early. Read regularly at home.

- Comparison - book adaptation that we read and Disney film - finished watching DVD while taking notes in form of Venn Diagram, then worked in groups to create posters.

- blog - this week's suggested topics: la réflexion - la 10e entrée - Qu'est-ce que j'ai appris pendant les 10 semaines? Est-ce que j'ai accompli mes objectifs de la première entrée? When 10th entry is completed, choose Mes meilleures 3 entrées, identify them by making a new post, then can edit them to improve the level of communication.
