Note: Take our Kids to Work Day - Wed. Nov 7, so most students were at a workplace with family or friends.

  • Worked on posters: La nourriture. - dû le vendredi 9 nov. (20 - 30 different foods, labelled in French with "le, la, l' or les" and (m) or (f), 3 sentences with at least 3 foods in each:

    • Je n'aime pas________, _________ et ___________.
    • Je n'ai pas encore essayé ________, _________ et ___________.
  • worksheets and puzzles to increase vocabulary and practise language structures
  • les devoirs: practice dialogue for re-assessment Thursday
    • Finish papers not done in class time

le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment parler et écrire une histoire d'un événement au passé.
  • Peer editing of brouillon of story "un événement du passé" - should have finished steps 1 & 2 - les idées, le plan and step 3 - le brouillon.   Can make improvments and corrections and start writing "la bonne copie" which is due Fri Nov 9.  See posters on back wall for format for submission. 
    • Remember we are using: le processus d'écrire - see post Nov 5,  Nov. 2 and also labelled post "the writing process/le processus d'écrire".
  • Cyrano de Bergerac: "jig-saw" groupings to discuss Acte I, scènes 5 à 7 and took notes.  We will finish tomorrow.

  • Gave course outlines and went over together. Read with your parents/guardians, sign bottom and keep in your binder. If you need a binder, ask. There are extras in the Westdale "Walk-in Closet".
  • Went over classroom rules/procedures - see post labelled "Classroom procedures" for details.
  • Filled in "Student Information" handout.
  • Filled in "Déclarations: les carrières".
  • les devoirs: Think about the one classroom rule: Soyez respectueux. What does that look like? - handout.
    • Finish Student information sheet (if not already done).
