FIF 2D
le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment mieux comprendre Cyrano de Bergerac.
  • Watched A cause des garçons par Yelle & A cause des garçons par Yelle - Remix
  • Cyrano de Bergerac:
    • Explained oral assessment for Acte I which will begin tomorrow.  Students have a handout package of questions which they are discussing in groups and taking notes.  They will be answering a question at random with the teacher starting in class tomorrow.
    • Read Scènes 5 & 6 on own or in small groups (handout).
  • Oral presentations: L'histoire de l'enfance: past due. If not already done, be ready to present. See previous posts for details.
  • les devoirs: Re-read Cyrano Acte I scènes 5 & 6 and complete questions.  Be prepared for oral assessments of questions beginning tomorrow.
FSF 1D
le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment parler des événements au passé.
  • le passé composé: did speaking activities - la journée pédagogique - in groups, then with teacher for assessment.
    • Written application -  5 sentences minimum, at least 2 in negative, use both avoir & être verbs, add details (i.e. adjectives, adverbs, etc), include name, date, title, double-spaced.  Hand in at end of class (but may hand in tomorrow if necessary).
    • handout package - must be checked and corrected for tomorrow Tues. April 30. Answers posted at the back of the room and in separate blog posting (FSF/FIF le passé composé answer keys). Test will be sometime later this week. Start making a note or "cheat sheet" to help you consolidate this language structure.
  • les devoirs: Review le passé composé. Work on handout package and written sentences "Ma journée pédagogique" if not completed in class.

  • le passé composé: did speaking activities - la journée pédagogique - in groups
    • Written application - 10 sentences minimum, at least 2 in negative, use both avoir & être verbs, variety of subjects, add details (i.e. adjectives, adverbs, etc), include name, date, title, double-spaced. Hand in at end of class (but may hand in tomorrow if necessary).
    • make sure handout package from last week. is completed - checked and corrected. See separate blog posting and back of classroom for answer keys.
  • Notre Dame de Paris - Un rapport pour le journal: past due. Must submit all parts (le plan, le brouillon, la fiche de contrôle) and late explanation note - see separate blog posting for details.
  • Handout package - So you think you have problems ex A, B, C, D. Check and correct from answer keys at back of room and separate blog posting. Finish for Tuesday if not already done.
  • les devoirs: le passé composé - written 10 sentence application assignment (Ma journée pédagogique), practice sheets, crosswords from Thurs. Apr. 25, handout pkg "So you think you have problems ex. A, B, C, D".
