learning goal: We are learning about narration through fairy tales and ballads.
- Presented own ballad in class. Other students added to note about how to do presentations. Good, supportive audience. Thanks! Anyone wishing to present again tomorrow may do so for re-evaluation.
- Written work due tomorrow - good copy with visual, annotated copy and draft work and ideas are due. Follow guidelines on handout for assignment and success criteria using rubrics and checklist. Minimum length: 3 stanzas (12 lines) or 5 stanzas if working with a partner.
- Homework: ballad - Presentations Mon. Sept. 28. Written work due Tues. Sept. 29.
- Bring a book to read quietly in class for anytime that you finish your class work early.

- chapter 1 - review speaking activity
- chapter 2 - handout - found unfamiliar vocabulary words and looked them up, then read and listened. Re-read in small groups and started answering Ex. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6. No need to complete all answers - just do your best. We will take them up in class together on Wednesday.
- Handout - vocabulary and puzzle from Thurs. Sept. 24. Complete for homework if not already done.
- les devoirs: Should be spending 15 - 20 minutes daily on French home study Monday through Thursday. If all class work is completed, follow suggestions in: Home Study extras
