learning goal: We are learning about narration through ballads.

• Worked on own ballad in computer lab. Follow guidelines on handout for assignment and success criteria using rubrics and checklist. Minimum length: 3 stanzas (12 lines) or 5 stanzas if working with a partner.  
• No homework if all caught up for the work this week.  
• Work on your ballad if not ready for presentations Mon. Sept. 28. Written work due Tues. Sept. 29.
• Bring a book to read quietly in class for anytime that you finish your class work early.

• Notre-Dame de Paris 
• reading assessment - Paris 
• When done - Duolingo , #PARISDIY or Free Rice trivia game or reading French magazines from classroom library.
• le film de vendredi: On Fridays, we usually watch a film in French with French subtitles where available as a part of the Listening Strand of the curriculum and also for Francophone culture. We are currently watching:  Les vacances de M.Bean 
• Pas de devoirs pour la fin de semaine as long as all caught up. Students may wish to do some review or practice. See suggestions below.
• Home Study extras
• Make sure to finish and publish your first blog post "Mon introduction" or "Moi et mes objectifs" or similar by the end of the week. You may also choose to work on updating your profile with an avatar and by following some of your classmates.  HWDSB Commons: "How to" slideshow 
• Always available and fun: Duolingo , #PARISDIY or Free Rice trivia game
