learning goal: We are learning about narration through ballads.

• Continued discussion about narration. 
• Groups presented their chosen ballads from the handout given yesterday and discussed.
• Watched Stan Rogers Jeannie C & Remembering Stan Rogers, The National
• In groups, discussed questions 1 - 10 from pages 24 - 25 of the handout and took notes.
• Next week, students will be writing their own ballads.
• No homework if all caught up for the work this week.  May wish to watch some film versions of fairy tales or do some research on ballads.

le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment faire un blogue.

• Mon Blogue/journal: Explained and discussed assignment - see handout for details. Monday, we will be working in the library to finish setting up blogs and to write the first entry.
• Skimmed articles from Panorama 1. Each student created a personal vocabulary sheet of words and expressions that apply to themselves that they might be able to use when they write about themselves.

• Quelles langues parlez-vous? pp.22-23
• L'horoscope chinois pp. 24 - 29
• le film de vendredi: On Fridays, we usually watch a film in French with French subtitles where available as a part of the Listening Strand of the curriculum and also for Francophone culture. We are currently watching:  Les vacances de M.Bean 
• Pas de devoirs pour la fin de semaine as long as all caught up. Students may wish to do some review or practice. See suggestions below.
