learning goal: We are learning about narration through fairy tales and ballads.
- own ballad: Anyone wishing to present again today may do so for re-evaluation.
- Written work due today- good copy with visual, annotated copy and draft work and ideas are due. Follow guidelines on handout for assignment and success criteria using rubrics and checklist. Minimum length: 3 stanzas (12 lines) or 5 stanzas if working with a partner. If not handed in today by the end of class, is late. If not ready to hand in tomorrow at the beginning of class, will need to complete "Late assignment explanation" which includes comments and signature of student and of parents/guardians.
- Gave feedback for improving presentations. Students should be taking notes about presentations regularly to improve throughout the semester.
- Continued watching "Into the Woods", taking notes of Fairy tale variations and references. Listen carefully to the songs as ballads.
- Homework: ballad - Written work due today Tues. Sept. 29. See above for details.
- Bring a book to read quietly in class for anytime that you finish your class work early.

- Wrote a second blog entry - follow details on handout that was given a couple of weeks ago. This week's suggested topics: Terry Fox or l'automne.
- Read blog entries from your network of 2 - 3 friends that you follow. Read each other's blog entries each week.
- You may also choose to work on updating your profile with an avatar.
- When finished this week's blog entry and reading and commenting on your personal network of your friends' blogs, can do:
- Review les adjectifs/les descriptions
- Find a song in French and create a listening activity. See Ms.K-J to pre-approve your song before starting to create your activity. This is a great activity to do with a friend.
- Duolingo , #PARISDIY or Free Rice trivia game
- les devoirs: Should be spending 15 - 20 minutes daily on French home study Monday through Thursday. If all class work is completed, follow suggestions in: Home Study extras
- Notre-Dame de Paris - re-read ch. 2 and answer Ex. 1 - 6 for tomorrow. Don't need to answer all questions completely. We will be taking them up tomorrow.
- Handout - vocabulary and puzzle from Thurs. Sept. 24. Complete if not already done.
