  • Thurs. March 10 - special food and French speaking day with Mme Magee. Think about what food you'd like to bring to share.
  • Article and discussion: La journée de la femme - answer key
  • le futur simple - how to say something will happen - mini-lesson and handout package. Answer key.
  • le passé - distributed lesson and practice package with answers - work your way through and use in your newspaper article. We'll do more work with this later so the hanouts are just a brief reference for now. 
  • un article du journal (newspaper article - using the past tense). Work on writing draft. Have some available for an editing/revision lesson with Brooke on Wed. The article will not be due until after the break.
  • les devoirs: Should be spending 15 - 20 minutes daily on French home study Monday through Thursday. If all class work is completed, follow suggestions in: Home Study extras

    • discussion and vocabulary - pages 41-61 - from handouts. Worked on this in class today then class discussion about themes - see photos below. See photo for summary of tips on how to organize your notes to keep for review at end of book for evaluation. 
    • time to read pgs.61-83 and to start working on questions to prepare for discussion tomorrow.
  • Homework: Get in the habit of doing 20 - 30 minutes of English homework every night Monday to Thursday. Review lessons, extend your knowledge or read.
    • Speak - pages 41-61 - prepare for discussion tomorrow
    • Independent reading. Bring a book to read quietly in class for any time that you finish your class work early. Read regularly at home.
