le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment rédacter un travail. 
  • Thurs. March 10 - special food and French speaking day with Mme Magee. Think about what food you'd like to bring to share.
  • In library today - editing draft of newspaper article or blog entries using on-line tools such as 
    • un article du journal (newspaper article - using the past tense). Work on draft. The article will not be due until after the break.
  • Watched and filled in answers: Les Cowboys Fringants - Les Étoiles Filantes  
  • le futur simple - how to say something will happen  Answer key.
  • le passé - lesson and practice package with answers - to help in your newspaper article. We'll do more work with this after the break so the handouts are just a brief reference for now. 
  • les devoirs: Should be spending 15 - 20 minutes daily on French home study Monday through Thursday. If all class work is completed, follow suggestions in: Home Study extras

learning goal: We are reading the novel "Speak".
  • "Speak"
    • discussion - table and class - pages 61-83 - from handouts. See photo for summary of tips on how to organize your notes to keep for review at end of book for evaluation. 
    • time to read pgs.83-104. Finish for tomorrow. There will be time to work on questions in class tomorrow.
    • Checked notes for Speak. 
  • Homework: Get in the habit of doing 20 - 30 minutes of English homework every night Monday to Thursday. Review lessons, extend your knowledge or read.
    • Speak - pages 83-104.
    • Independent reading. Bring a book to read quietly in class for any time that you finish your class work early. Read regularly at home.

    • Descriptions de personnes: cahier pg. 9, Ex. I - good copy in full sentences -10 different adjectives for the 5 people - submit if not finished on Monday. Include title, full name and date.
    • Corrected crossword puzzle from Friday together.
    • les descriptions/les adjectifs - handout package. Worked in groups and with help.
    • Checked binders.
