learning goal: We are learning about narration through fairy tales.
- Checked progress on reading from yesterday: article from one of the French magazines in the classroom. Read and briefly summarize. Will be presenting to small group next week. Les nouvelles/les articles
- Je me présente: assignment sheet & rubric We will be preparing oral introduction tomorrow and recording on Tuesday and Wednesday using iPads. Start to collect photos and images that you might be able to use to illustrate your introduction. Put them somewhere i.e. Google Drive, that you will be able to access using the school iPads. Brainstorm and plan an outline. Consider making a mind-map. There will be about 35 minutes to work in class tomorrow.
- presentation by Mme Megee about school in Newfoundland.
- played Apples to Apples (in French).
- les devoirs: Should be spending 15 - 20 minutes daily on French home study Monday through Thursday. If all class work is completed, follow suggestions in: Home Study extras

- Read and discussed "There was once" by Margaret Atwood. (handout)
- Read "Cinderella" by the Brothers Grimm and noted differences from versions that you already know. Complete for homework.
- Homework: Get in the habit of doing 20 - 30 minutes of English homework every night Monday to Thursday. Review lessons, extend your knowledge or read.

- Finish reading and making notes about Cinderella by the Brothers Grimm.
- Organize binder with dividers.
- Bring a book to read quietly in class for any time that you finish your class work early. Read regularly at home.
