  • Le songage: Les goûts de notre classe - reading and speaking activity. Think about food expressions in English over the weekend. Next week, we will be writing a short composition using our discussion notes. 
  • DVD French Immersion
  • Pas de devoirs pour la fin de semaine as long as all caught up. Students may wish to do some review or practice - see: Home Study extras osuggestions below.
    • 3 students - Article for next Thur. - read, summarize.

ENG 1D
learning goal: We are learning about short stories.
  • Note: classes have been adjusted. As of Fri Feb 19, ENG2D will be in room 107 with Ms.Tofano and ENG1D is in room 316 with Ms.K-J. Today, we did introductions and discussed classroom rule and routines - Be respectful. 
  • 15 minutes independent reading. There will be a tracking/assessment tool for this.
  • Examining writing style - The Tell-Tale Heart - in groups, discussion and notes using chart paper. Details on handout distributed in class. We will finish on Monday.
  • No homework if all caught up for the work this week. Some suggestions if you wish to do some work:
    • test - short stories (all 4 studied) on Thurs. Feb. 25.
    • Independent reading. Bring a book to read quietly in class for any time that you finish your class work early. Read regularly at home.

    • Québec en hiver - video - viewed and discussed in groups.
    • les lettres: finished draft of own letter for La Grande Course du Canada. Started writing good copy. Good copy (handwritten) will be due Wed Feb 24.
