Journal/blog assignment is due May 18 - by midnight if by email, by 3 pm if in person. See handout from February for details.
FIF 3U
  • le but d'apprentissage: Comment exprimer les opinions, les sentiments et les doutes.
  • La Route de Chlifa : content quiz (pgs. 223 -249).
  • Le subjonctif :
    • Continue to make own Mind Map note by reviewing handout notes, legal size and work on re-writing into own format.  
      • Finish and check handouts already assigned. 
        • Quizzes next week and summative test tentatively planned for Fri. May 31
  • La Route de Chlifa :
    • Finish any discussion question notes (small purple papers) and written question handouts.
    • Organize your Chlifa notes in your binder (title, date, complete, in order, neatly written, etc.)
  • les devoirs: 20 – 30 min. of French – La route de Chlifa, le subjonctif, journal/blog.
FSF 1D
  • le but d'apprentissage:  Comment apprendre plus de vocabulaire.
  • Reading assessments: handout – 2 sides. Students did this work on their own then handed it in. They were permitted to access dictionaries (print or internet) to help. 
  • Vocabulary building: package of handouts. Done on own or with a partner or small group. Any work not finished should be completed for homework. Can leave some blank if don’t understand, but should be able to figure it all out. I will be checking this tomorrow.
  • If done, review passé compose, review and organize other notes, or organize binder. Can also finish any puzzles not done yet, or use electronic devices with WiFi to find French review and games
  • les devoirs: Work for 20 – 30 minutes on French. Journal/blog is due Fri May 18.
FSF 2D
  • le but d'apprentissage:  Comment lire la poésie.
  • Students worked together or on own to complete the following :
    • textbook (Nouvelles Frontières) pgs. 60 – 62
    • Discussion questions (in French as much as possible) « Avant de Lire ». No need to take notes.
    • Read the poems on the 2 pages. Remember to use the Lexique at the back of the book to help figure out meanings.
    • Answered « As-tu compris? » questions on pg. 62 orally in groups, but also took brief notes.
    • Handout « Des procèdes stylistiques ». Worked together, but each must complete own paper.
    • If done, start some brainstorming for ideas for own poetry. We will work on this more tomorrow, but write down some ideas. Can use style of the poems in the text.
  • If done,worked on completing handouts about pronouns already received, review notes, organize binder or use electronic devices with WiFi to do web-based French review and games.
  • les devoirs:  20 – 30 minutes of French. Remember that journal/blog is due Fri May 18.
