Journal/blog assignment was due Fri. May 18. See handout from February for details. Must still hand in, but must include note for late assignment (see blog post).
FIF 3U
  • le but d'apprentissage: Comment mieux comprendre une histoire.
  • Watched documentary about "Incendies".
  • Completed the question sheet for Incendies by discussion in groups.
  • Upcoming work/assessments:
    • le subjonctif - quizzes and summative test to come. Finish and check handouts and complete summary note (preferably done as a mind-map).  Will be allowed to use one full size page as a reference sheet for the test - le mardi 3 juin.
    • La Route de Chlifa/Incendies - written report/reaction - Brouillon due le mercredi 30 mai for peer editing.  Follow guidelines on handout from last week.
    • la présentation orale - culminating. Introduced. Will be due week of June 11-15. Topic - your choice. Format - your choice (i.e. discours formel, PowerPoint, Prezzi, video, etc.). Length - 2 min. May do with a partner - 3 1/2 - 4 min. Objective - show what learned this year. Also will submit written outline.
  • les devoirs:  Chlifa/Incendies - report/reaction. le subjonctif - prepare reference sheet for test.

  • Speaking activity - Comparing timetables.
  • le pronom objet indirect (lui, leur) - lesson, examples, speaking, listening, reading, writing - handout
  • les devoirs:  Try to complete handout "lui/leur".
FSF 2D
  • le but d'apprentissage: Comment éviter la répétition.
  • les pronoms - sujet & objet: lesson (review), handout, written (handout) and oral practice (les cartes).  Test on Fri June 1.  Will be allowed to make and use a reference sheet (5 1/2" x 8 1/2") for the test.
  • Worked on completing poem - illustrated poster - for le jeudi 31 mai - le Café de la Poésie.
  • les devoirs: poem, les pronoms
