le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous pratiquons comment décrire les gens.
  • blog/journal - suggested topic this week - La St. Valentin, le Jour de la Famille, la longue fin de semaine
  • les descriptions - les adjectifs
    • checked yesterday's homework - handout - matching adjectives
    • les vedettes/les gens célèbres - with different partners looked at photos of different famous people and used questions and adjectives to describe them.  Practiced several times then presented conversations to class.
    • Self-assessment - mes interactions en français (period 3 in class, period 1 started in class and finish for homework)
    • period 3 - discussion - how to improve speaking in class
  • les devoirs 
    • period 1 - finish self-assessment
    • blog/journal entry for this week
    • Duolingo or suggestions in this post: Home Study extras
    • Must complete oral assessment recording "Mon introduction" and email the link to Ms.K-J if not completed in class. 
    • Organize your binder with 4 dividers. See course outline for labels for sections.  May wish to add another section "les chansons".  Use cell phone agenda or buy a paper agenda to help you stay organized for your classes.

  • rechauffement - le concours des verbes
  • blog/journal - suggested topic this week - La St. Valentin, le Jour de la Famille, la longue fin de semaine
  • Notre Dame de Paris
    • Read chapitre 1 together and discussed then listened to CD.
  • les verbes au présent - réguliers, réfléchis, irréguliers 
    • some work time today - handouts - le paquet et le tableau - given last week - Due le vendredi 20 février.  Answer keys - les verbes au présent posted in the classroom and on this blog.  Students will check own work or the work of a classmate after finishing each page - just checking, not correcting.  Students will correct their own work and note which verbs they will need to practice more before the test.
    • Students are encouraged to review some verbs every day and to access quizzes and games on the internet to help with learning these verbs.

  • les devoirs: Spend 20 minutes or so on French.
    • Review les verbes au présent - le tableau, le paquet de fiches (dû le vendredi 20 février, test le mercredi 25 février)
