- reading: "Louisette" par René Goscinny. Introduced with biography of author and speaking activity to predict the story. Read in groups and did questions from cahier pgs. 38 - 40 ex. A (all) - speaking only, ex. B - chose 4 questions to discuss in groups and took brief notes, ex. C & D - written. If done, choose questions from ex. E or F as group discussions - oral only.

Discussed favorite hockey teams, life in rural Quebec in 1950's - the importance of hockey, Eaton's catalogue, les Canadiens de Montréal, Maurice Richard "the Rocket" using le Musée Canadien de l'histoire - looked at The Rocket - movie trailer Maurice Richard - standing ovation at the last game at the Montréal Forum
- Read story together while listening to recording from le Musée Canadien de l'histoire then watched Le Chandail - National Film Board
- Students were asked to think about their greatest disappointment when they were a child. This may be a possible blog topic for next week.

- reading and response: "La carte d'identité d'Hélène Lefort" - used this to create "Ma carte d'identité". Good copy due at end of class, or can hand in tomorrow if needed. When done, read "La Personnalité" and used activities in cahier pgs. 8 - 9 to talk with partner.
