le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous parlons des nous-mêmes.
- Discussed presentation skills and finished presenting posters "Soyez respectueux".
- Discussed why not to use Google translate (or other computer translation tools) and watched video Fresh Prince of Bel-Air - original and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air - Google Translate . Showed how to use WordReference on-line dictionary . There are games and a verb conjugator available on that site and it is also available as a free app. Other good tools are Linguee on-line dictionary (good for expressions) , Le grand dictionnaire & Bescherelle (verb conjugations).
- Gave handout and explained oral assessment activity "Parler de moi-même" where students will introduce themselves by speaking and recording next week using the iPads in the library with the apps/websites Audioboo or Explain Everything. Students began thinking about what they will say and making brief notes in French. Do not write sentences. They should work a bit tonight and we will also have some time in class tomorrow.

- think and write a few notes about yourself for your spoken introduction next week using the handout given in class today. Spend about 15 - 20 minutes - no need to finish it all.
