le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment mieux lire.
  • Cyrano de Bergerac: Acte I, scene 1 - read together dramatically, then watched some of the film.
    • suggestion: Read more of the introductory pages of the book to understand the play better.  
  • les devoirs:  Should be spending about 20 min a day on review/finishing work.
    • re-read Cyrano de Bergerac Acte 1, scene 1.  Can continue with scene 2.
    • journal/blog entry for this week - suggested topics: la journée pédagogique
    • Students are always encouraged to watch a favourite DVD in French (no subtitles), play some French games on internet, do Duolingo , watch French TV, read a blog entry & write a positive comment from your class blog network, read some French articles, magazines, books or newspapers (hard copy or on-line), practice numbers or review some French.

    • some class time to review
    • test today
    • puzzle after test - finish it for tomorrow.
  • Notre Dame de Paris - quick discussion to introduce more of it (i.e. the Disney film is based on some of the story, but is not the same as the novel.)
    • Watched some of DVD of the musical "Notre Dame de Paris" & listened to song - Le Temps des Cathedrales", filling in blanks.  Try to answer the questions briefly for homework.  We will be discussing the answers on Monday.

      • answer questions for "Le temps des cathedrales".

      • Binder and dividers if not already done. Add another section: la communication orale
