  • livre 35 - read le courriel (email) and listened
  • J'écoute: cahier handout pg.55 (given Fri May 1)
  • Speaking - cahier handout pg.52 
  • writing: cahier handou pg.53 - Complete 1 & 2 for homework - started in class.
  • les devoirs: Students should be doing 20 minutes or so of home study each evening Mon - Thurs.
    • blog/journal entry for this week - if not already done - suggested topics this week -un critique du film le Bossu de Notre-Dame -  or -  une réfléxion de faire un blogue (if this is your 10th entry).  Should have completed at 10 entries by the end of this week. Entire journal is due Fri. May 15. See FSF 1D journal/blog or handout given in February for details.

le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment écrire et parler des événements au passé.
  • Chanson: Mon pays bleu, Roger Whittaker
  • le passé composé et l'imparfait - Students will be using the past tenses in their newspaper article as correctly as possible. There will be practice activities and a test next week - May 14. 
    • reviewed uses l'action vs. la description and specific vs. continued/habitual action - see photo
    • l'action interrompue - lesson, examples and discussion
    • quick review of formation and use of le plus-que-parfait
  • Notre-Dame de Paris - newspaper articles. 
    • Some class time given to work on draft. It is due tomorrow Tuesday May 5. Follow guidelines on handout from Tuesday April 28. May use real newspapers as models. Should be written on every other line to allow space for revision and additions. Students are encouraged to write using the computer if possible. We will be in the computer lab on Wed. May 6 to work on the good copy.
