learning goal: We are learning about a film adaptation of Shakespeare.

- Comparative Essay: good copy due Monday. Is now late and required to hand in a late explanation note signed by parent/guardian. See previous posts for details of the assignment.
- Shakespeare - Handout package: Film adaptation: Romeo and Juliet. Continued checking and correcting it today. Finished: "Usage and Style" and “Word Study and Spelling” - except for thesaurus activity on page 84 #2 and #3 - do this for homework if not already done - make written notes.
- Handed out play and divided into groups to begin reading one of the Acts. Will be presenting the most important events to the class later - probably end of next week. For now, just reading in groups and making notes to understand one Act. Students are encouraged to do some research on background, analysis and synopsis of the play to better understand the Act that has been assigned to their group.
- Homework :
- handout package about Romeo and Juliet - do thesaurus activity on page 84 #2 and #3 - do this for homework if not already done - make written notes
- Comparative Essay - Good copy (including cover page and all draft work and ideas) overdue. See above for details.
- Bring a book to read quietly in class for any time that you finish your class work early. Read regularly at home.
