Site of the day: 14 Perfect French Words And Phrases We Need In English

ENG 2D

learning goal: We are comparing different versions of a narrative.

• Red Riding Hood - finished presentation in small groups of different versions of the story and analysis. Submission of written work. 
• Comparison essays - handout - introduced - in groups started reading pgs. 217 - 219 and answering questions on pages 219 - 220. Complete for homework to prepare for discussion in class tomorrow.
• Homework: 
• handout - comparison essays - see above.
• Bring a book to read quietly in class for anytime that you finish your class work early. Read regularly at home.

FIF 1D

le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment mieux lire.

• Notre-Dame de Paris 
• chapter 4 - reviewed and discussed together (whole class)
• small groups - continued discussion of Ex. 1, 2 & 3 then started class discussion of answers
•  new vocabulary words - on board and discussed
• les devoirs: Should be spending 15 - 20 minutes daily on French home study Monday through Thursday. If all class work is completed, follow suggestions in:  Home Study extras
• re-read Notre-Dame de Paris ch 1, 2 or 3, or if enough time, all 3
• blog - this week's suggested topics: Une mois à Westdale, le jour de 9e année, l'Action de Grâces, la longue fin de semaine qui vient.
