FSF 1D  
le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons du vocabulaire de la cuisine.
  • Checked homework: handout of puzzles with numbers & briefly discussed importance of daily review and practice to consolidate knowledge.  Regular review will make French easier & more fun, and will eventually lead to higher marks.
  • Made posters & discussed vocabulary and expressions for "Chef à l'école" activity tomorrow.  See below for photos of examples.  We worked on saying the words and expressions, and to be able to match words and images without translating to English.  Started work on vocabulary sheet.  Finish for homework.  Answer key posted below.
  • les devoirs:
    • Get permission form for "Chef à l'école" signed.  Must be returned by class time on Wed. Feb. 5 or you will not be able to participate in this special activity.
    • handout vocabulary for "Chef à l'école: complete for tomorrow.
    • organize binder with dividers and get signature on course outline if not already done.

  • Checked homework: handout of puzzles with numbers & briefly discussed importance of daily review and practice to consolidate knowledge.  Regular review will make French easier & more fun, and will eventually lead to higher marks.
  • Looked at  weather predictions Hamilton ON and watched video la météo du Québec & Météo prévision la France and briefly discussed differences.  Also watched: Sotchi: une ville d'hiver.
  • Finished activity "Soyez respectueux - comment le montrer" to set the norms of our class.  See separate blog post FIF 1D1I-24 les normes de notre classe.
  • Talked briefly about next assignment: diagnostic/formative written composition.  For tonight, brainstorm some ideas: 5 - 10 accomplishments in your life so far (anything you are proud of doing) & about 5 goals you have for this course (FIF 1D), for school in general, or for your life.
