Site of the day: Learn French with Movies: The Quick Guide

• le passé composé vs. l'imparfait
• "quiz" - l'action continue vs. soudain - see photo for answer key - either check it yourself or trade with a partner at the beginning of class.  Do own corrections. 
•  Answer keys for previous handouts
• Test - le mardi 19 avril. le passé - links for practice
• Literature circles - finish working on iMovie trailer & personal connection statement (1 minute or so individual speaking - video or live i.e. panel discussion). Must finish and upload to Google Drive by the end of class today Thurs. Apr. 14. Title sample: FSF2D Name of book first names April 2016 Presentations will be Thurs. April 21.
• Pas de devoirs pour la fin de semaine as long as all caught up. Students may wish to do some review or practice - see: Home Study extras or suggestions below.
• Newspaper article - due last Friday -  must complete "Late Assignment Form". 
• Review le passé composé & l'imparfait.Test - le mardi 19 avril.

learning goal: We are planning an essay for the novel Speak.

• Speak
• Overdue: discussion notes and vocabulary sentences was due Fri Apr 8 and puzzles due yesterday, April 12. Last day to submit to count for mid-semester report. 
• Continue planning for essay as summative assessment "How is the novel Speak a relevant book in 2016?" Finish filling in graphic organizer for Monday Apr 18. We have computer time April 18, 20, 21. Link for essay assignment sheet and rubric. Example of Thesis Statement i.e."An examination of ______, ______, and ______ will demonstrate _______. "
• No homework if all caught up for the work this week. Some suggestions if you wish to do some work:
• Speak - Essay planning - see above. 
• Independent reading. Bring a book to read quietly in class for any time that you finish your class work early. Read regularly at home.
