• Speak - collecting essay - due today: "How is the novel Speak a relevant book in 2016?" 
• all parts - cover page, good copy, Works cited & draft, (through Google Drive, share with bkukhtaj@hwdsb.on.ca ) - Name your document carefully i.e. ENG1D first lastname Speak essay Apr 2016 - and completed planning template & brainstorm sheet & rubric (on papers in class).

Norms for reading aloud Shakespeare

• introduction and started reading scenes aloud after establishing procedures and norms (see photo)
• journals (handout) to summarize/reflect for each section read. This will be assessed, so be sure to complete and keep it. 
• Homework: Get in the habit of doing 20 - 30 minutes of English homework every night Monday to Thursday. Review lessons, extend your knowledge or read.
• Speak - Essay - see above. Due today. If submitted late, will be required to complete Late Explanation sheet. 
• Finish journal for Twelfth Night Act I, scene 1.
• Independent reading. Bring a book to read quietly in class for any time that you finish your class work early. Read regularly at home.
