- Plain vs. interesting language - Took very simple sentences and rewrote in groups to make them more colourful.
- Shakespeare and Twelfth Night
- Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare - FULL Audio Book (Or, What You Will)
- No fear Shakespeare - a post-reading resource to compare original and modern texts
- read Act I, scenes 3 (finish), 4 & 5 aloud following established procedures and norms (see photo)
- journals (handout) to summarize/reflect for each scene read. This will be assessed, so be sure to complete and keep it.
- Homework: Get in the habit of doing 20 - 30 minutes of English homework every night Monday to Thursday. Review lessons, extend your knowledge or read.
- Speak - Essay - Overdue. If submitted late, complete Late Explanation sheet. See post for more essay information if needed to complete the essay as required.
- Finish journal for Twelfth Night Act I, scenes 3, 4 & 5. Due by end of class tomorrow. Re-read Act I.
- Independent reading. Bring a book to read quietly in class for any time that you finish your class work early. Read regularly at home.

- les interviews: discussed format and tips for good interviews (see photo) then planned to watch an interview with Indila, the singer from last week's song but internet didn't cooperate. We read the tapescript instead. Students may watch interview at home. Don't worry about not understanding the whole thing. Just watch for the points we discussed and try to understand the gist of the interview. You will find that you will understand more if you watch a second or third time. - Conducted interviews with partners - Tu rencontres un étranger. Quelles questions peut-on demander? Wrote 3 - 4 possible questions to submit at end of class.
