  • Did a catch-up/clean-up day. Gr. 11 - continued work on chocolate tasting activity set-up, gr. 12 - L'intelligence multiple paragraph is due and almost finished l'école du rêve.

  • Did interviews of partner to discover likes and dislikes then created an oral presentation, practised it and presented for a mark.
  • Kodi accidentally threw her pencil and the entire class (including the teacher) laughed until our stomach hurt...
  • Began watching DVD "Le Petit Nicholas" brought back from France by one of our exchange students - so - there are subtitles only in French.

  • Assignment called “My Personal Mandala” - began yesterday. Must be completed and e-mailed to me on First Class as an attachment by Friday, May 14. This assignment will help you to discover better your personal learning profile. The assignment is posted in our First Class Parkside Modern Language conference in the Quest folder. You will be doing it on the computer using Publisher or Word or Paint and you will refer to your already completed learning inventory sheets for the second circle.
  • If done, can go back to PowerPoint presentations and revise/upgrade them. There are other assignments to finish/polish also, including making a SmartBoard Notebook game or activity for vocabulary of food.

We had a great trip to Mickey McGuire's Cheese shop in downtown Dundas. We learned a lot about different cheeses, how they are made, the history behind them, etc. and we able to taste quite a few different ones. One of our favourites was Roquefort! We purchased 3 of our favourite cheeses and will be having a "Vin Faux, Vrai Fromage" (fake wine, real cheese) party this Friday or early next week.

In computers, we did our blog/journal entry about the trip and started to tie up the Francophone country assignment by analyzing the budget and writing an 8 - 10 sentence paragraph explaining how we found our information, the differences in price for each time of year (high season vs. low season) and any other factors in decision-making for the trip planning.
