      • Finished watching Act I of DVD of Twelfth Night at Stratford, then in groups and class discussion, decided the 2 most important events. Also, students chose favourite character and discussed why chosen.

      • No fear Shakespeare - a post-reading resource to compare original and modern texts
      • read Act II, scene 1 aloud following established procedures and norms (see photo on post April 25) and discussed. Completed journal (handout) for Act II, scene 1. This will be submitted and assessed at the end of Act II.
      • performance assessment next Wed. May 4. -  20 lines - handout with details will be given Monday.

                • relay race - reproducing a paragraph in teams - student A reads sentence and repeats aloud to table group, student B writes sentence, student C checks for errors. Switch roles after every sentence. Winner will be declared tomorrow.

                      • les interviews: discussed format and tips for good interviews (see photo) then planned to watch an interview with Indila, the singer from last week's song but internet didn't cooperate. We read the tapescript instead. Students may watch interview at home. Don't worry about not understanding the whole thing. Just watch for the points we discussed and try to understand the gist of the interview. You will find that you will understand more if you watch a second or third time.
