l'été 2012

Have a great summer. Watch some DVDs in French (no subtitles), watch some French TV, listen to French music, travel to a francophone area (if you are lucky!) and speak French whenever possible, find French vocabulary games on the internet, read French books, magazines, newspapers. Keep up and learn more French. It's fun. 

It's ironic that I just wrote that all in English...

Ayez un été excellent!  Regardez des DVD en français (sans sous-titres), regardez la télé en français, écoutez la musique francophone, voyagez à une région francophone (si vous êtes chanceux!) et parlez français le plus que possible, trouvez les jeux français à l'internet, lisez les livres, les magazines, les journaux français.  Gardez et apprenez plus de français.  C'est amusant.

  • Did some listening activities from Préparation pour le DELF niveau B1.
  • Upcoming work/assessments:
    • le subjonctif - test sommative - le mercredi 6 juin OU le jeudi 7 juin - Choice of the student for what works better for them. Must prepare and may use summary note (preferably done as a mind-map) as a reference sheet for the test. Complete and check handout pre-tests to help prepare.
    • La Route de Chlifa/Incendies - written report/reaction. Bonne copie + all parts due today.
    • la présentation orale - culminating. Discussed briefly - gave handout with requirements. Will be formalizing success criteria on Mon June 4 in class. Will be presented week of June 11-15. Topic - your choice. Format - your choice (i.e. discours formel, PowerPoint, Prezzi, video, etc.). Length - 2 min. May do with a partner - 3 1/2 - 4 min. Objective - show what learned this year. Also will submit written outline.
