          • Handout package: Film adaptation: Handed in thesaurus activity on page 84 #2 and #3.
          • DVD: Romeo + Juliet. Finished film. Time in class was given to make notes on what they saw today. 
          • Groups continued reading the Act assigned to them. Will be presenting the most important events to the class later - probably end of next week. For now, just reading in groups and making notes to understand your Act. Students are encouraged to do some research on background, analysis and synopsis of the play to better understand the Act that has been assigned to their group.
          • Homework :
              • handout package about Romeo and Juliet - do thesaurus activity on page 84 #2 and #3 -Written notes were submitted today. Overdue.

Finished: “Investigating the model” page 71 including checklist.and half of  “Grammar” – read carefully, study examples and do questions. Tomorrow we will continue with: “Mechanics and Design”,  “Usage and Style” and “Word Study and Spelling”.

                                                                      • Shakespeare -  Handout package: Film adaptation: Romeo and Juliet. Start this on Wed. Oct. 21 and work for about 35 – 40 minutes or so each day. Follow the handout step-by-step. Work in groups or individually and make notes directly on the handout or separately. Each student must make his or her own notes if working in groups. Use time well in class, and if necessary, at home, to complete all sections except for “Writer’s Workshop” for Mon. Oct. 26. I will be checking and correcting it on Mon. Oct. 26.

                                                                                                  • Shakespeare -  Handout package: Film adaptation: Romeo and Juliet. Start this on Wed. Oct. 21 and work for about 35 – 40 minutes or so each day. Follow the handout step-by-step. Work in groups or individually and make notes directly on the handout or separately. Each student must make his or her own notes if working in groups. Use time well in class, and if necessary, at home, to complete all sections except for “Writer’s Workshop” for Mon. Oct. 26. I will be checking and correcting it on Mon. Oct. 26.
