learning goal: We are learning about comparative essays.
  • Comparison essays - handout - introduced - in groups making notes for reading pgs. 217 - 219 and answering questions on pages 219 - 220. Write at least 5 points for a checklist that we will compile tomorrow to form the success criteria for own essay. Complete for homework if not done in class.
    • Homework: 
      • handout - comparison essays - see above.
      • Bring a book to read quietly in class for anytime that you finish your class work early. Read regularly at home.

    • Notre-Dame de Paris 
      • chapter 4 - reviewed and discussed Ex. 1, 2 & 3 together
      • Watched musical.
    • les devoirs: Should be spending 15 - 20 minutes daily on French home study Monday through Thursday. If all class work is completed, follow suggestions in:  Home Study extras
        • Re-read some or all of first 4 chapters of Notre-Dame de Paris. 
        • blog - this week's suggested topics: Une mois à Westdale, le jour de 9e année, l'Action de Grâces, la longue fin de semaine qui vient.
