  • le passé composé vs. l'imparfait
    • "quiz" - action vs. description - see photo for answer key. Check with partner. Do own corrections.
    • "quiz" for homework - les actions habituelles/répétées ou précises  - see photo for answer key - either check it yourself or trade with a partner at the beginning of class tomorrow
    •  Answer keys for previous handouts
    • Test - le mardi 19 avril. 
  • Literature circles - working on iMovie trailer & personal connection statement (1 minute or so individual speaking - video or live i.e. panel discussion). We have the iPads for April 12, 13 & 14 - must finish and upload to Google Drive by the end of class Thurs. Apr. 14. Title sample: FSF2D Name of book first names April 2016
  • les devoirs: Should be spending 15 - 20 minutes daily on French home study Monday through Thursday. If all class work is completed, follow suggestions in: Home Study extras
    • Newspaper article - due last Friday - submit all parts - brainstorm, plan (le triangle), draft, checklist/rubric & good copy.  If not submitted by yesterday, must complete "Late Assignment Form". 
    • Review le passé composé & l'imparfait and do "quiz" les actions habituelles/répétées ou précises. Test - le mardi 19 avril.

learning goal: We are planning an essay for the novel Speak.
  • Speak
    • Overdue: discussion notes and vocabulary sentences. Use checklist (given in class Thurs and at this link:  Checklist - Speak Discussion Notes) to ensure best marks. If not submitted by yesterday, must complete "Late Assignment Form". 
    • puzzles for review - due today Tues. April 12. 
    • Continue planning for essay as summative assessment "How is the novel Speak a relevant book in 2016?".  Graphic organizer distributed yesterday for planning. There will be class time to work this week and computer time April 18, 20, 21. Link for essay assignment sheet and rubric. Handout of completed sheet will be distributed soon. Should finish finding quotations for all 3 topics today (2 quotations for each topic).
  • Homework: Get in the habit of doing 20 - 30 minutes of English homework every night Monday to Thursday. Review lessons, extend your knowledge or read.
    • Speak - see above - Puzzles due today, April 12. Essay - have quotations done for all 3 topics (2 per topic).
    • Independent reading. Bring a book to read quietly in class for any time that you finish your class work early. Read regularly at home.
