  • Gave handout and discussed how to edit work, how to help each other, to improve the final copy.  Students should also access the "spellcheck" feature of word processing (with French dictionary) and "BonPatron.com" if they have typed their work on the computer as other very useful tools to make their work as good as possible.  Had time in class to edit each other's work and will have some time on Monday.

  • per. 4 class - we went to the Co-op/OYAP fair in the upper gym for part of class.
  • Details for oral exam (June 14, 15 and 16) - went over. See separate post labelled "FIF 1D oral exam June 2011".
  • Checked outline/plan for essay.  Students began work on the draft (brouillon).  May be hand written or on computer - double spaced.  Due FridayJune 10.  We will be peer editing in class that day.

  • Jean de Florette: finish reading chapter 33 & 34.  Also, did jigsaw activity to discuss themes and events in the book and to generate possible exam questions.

  • Jean de Florette: finish reading chapter 32.  Anyone who hasn't turned in chapter summaries must do so by the beginning of lunch tomorrow (electronic - by e-mail or on USB) or will have a detention in room 306.

  • Jean de Florette: finish reading to end of chapter 31 and must hand in chapter summaries.

  • Handed in remaining chapter summaries for Jean de Florette via e-mail attachment to beverly.kukhta-jackson@hwdsb.on.ca and continued reading. Should have completed to end of chapter 28.

  • Devoirs: Continue planning dissertation.  Find 3 proofs for one of your 2 supporting arguments.

  • Devoirs:  20 min. Review novel and think about 2 arguments and proofs to support your essay topic.
