FIF 2D
le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment mieux comprendre Cyrano de Bergerac.
  • Cyrano de Bergerac: Work time for presentations and group work using handouts.  Finish #1 - #4 for Fri. May 10.  Each person in a group takes responsibility for ensuring one part of the assignment is completed, but all must work together to complete it.  Presentations (dramatic reading) of scenes begin Mon. May 13 - Acte II scènes 1 à 6. There will be a quiz the day after each presentation of each 1/2 act.  Make sure to record tasks accomplished in the work log chart.  We will work on #5, the adaptation, later.
  • Watched DVD.
  • les devoirs: 20 - 30 min - Cyrano. Journal/blog if not yet done.
FSF 1D
le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment parler des événements au passé.
  • Mon monstre: handouts were given last Friday - checked idea/planning sheet and gave feedback. Follow directions carefully and help each other with planning and ideas. Gave brouillon (draft) checklist yesterday -  Brouillon due Tues. May 14. Work time today. Use reference sheets to help.
  • le passé composé: Handed out practice sheet on Friday. Complete - checked and corrected - due today, Thurs May 9 - checked if done. Answer keys posted in classroom and in separate blog posting "FSF 1D le passé composé - answer keys. Test tomorrow - Friday May 10. Start making a note or "cheat sheet" to help you consolidate this language structure.  We did a short review on the board and talked about the format of the test - see photos below.
  • les devoirs: 20 min or so - Mon Monstre, le passé composé or journal/blog.
    • making your own monster. Lots of possibilities - be creative. Due Wed. May 8.

FIF 1D

  • Au revoir les enfants: scenes 1 - 10. Took up questions on handout and handed in summary of each scene - point form is fine, one sentence or point per page should be enough.
    • questions and resume for scenes 11 - 18. Due Fri May 10.
    • watched film.
  • Handout package - So you think you have problems - ex. E, F, G, H. Due Wed. May 8 - checked again if done - checked and corrected. Answer keys posted in classroom and on separate blog posting "FIF 1D - Problems answer keys ex. E, F, G, H"
