le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment mieux comprendre Cyrano de Bergerac.

• Cyrano de Bergerac: Explained presentations and group work.  Gave handouts.  Finish #1 - #4 for Fri. May 10.  Each person in a group takes responsibility for ensuring each part of the assignment is completed, but all must work together to complete it.  Presentations (reading) of scenes begin Mon. May 13.  There will be a quiz the day after each presentation of each 1/2 act. 
• Pas de devoirs pour la fin de semaine - unless not caught up on any other work i.e. journal/blog.

le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment parler des événements au passé.

• Finished and presented "une definition d'un monstre".
• Mon monstre: gave handouts - idea/planning sheet and reference sheets and explained work for next week.  There will be lots of work time on Mon and Tues.
• le passé composé: Handed out practice sheet but no need to complete on the weekend - checked and corrected - due Thurs May 8. There will be lots of work time on Mon and Tues.  Test will next week - Friday. Start making a note or "cheat sheet" to help you consolidate this language structure.
• Started watching Monsters, Inc.
• Pas de devoirs pour la fin de semaine - unless not caught up on any other work i.e. journal/blog.
• Could be making your own monster. Lots of possibilities - be creative. Due Wed. May 8.

le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment le contexte du film/livre Au revoir les enfants.

• Notre Dame de Paris: Une comparaison entre le livre Notre Dame de Paris de Hugo et le film animé de Disney - une diagramme Venn - groups, then did own summary with at least 10 points in each of the 3 categories. Due yesterday. See photos of group work in Wed. May 1 post for help in creating own summary.
• Au revoir les enfants: reviewed what did yesterday and explained work for next week.
• Finished watching la Panthère Rose.
• Pas de devoirs pour la fin de semaine - unless not caught up on any other work i.e. journal/blog or une comparaison entre le livre Notre Dame de Paris de Hugo et le film animé de Disney - une diagramme Venn - bonne copie was due Thurs.
