FIF 1D
  • Le but d'apprentissage: Comment parler au passé.
  • Reviewed le passé composé through mini-lesson and very brief note.  Added "le négatif" and did a speaking activity - students talked in their groups about what they didn't do in the past week.  We also discussed the format for the test: part A: re-writing sentences from le présent to le passé composé and Part B: Students will be given a topic and will write 10 sentences - au passé composé.   We discussed and made a note of what to do to acheive a level 4 mark on that section.  See blog posting "10 phrases - Comment achever une note de niveau 4".
  • Rest of class: group and individual review and study to prepare for tomorrow's test.  Many activities were provided and students chose the activities that best suited their learning style.  The 12 handouts were checked for completion.
  • Devoirs: le passé composé - test tomorrow.
FIF 3U
  • le but d'apprentissage: Comment lire une histoire au passé simple.
  • Brief review and practise: le passé simple.  Practise handout to be completed by Mon. Apr. 4. Test Tues. Apr. 5.
  • Continued work on La Parure questions and presentations. Both are due tomorrow.
  • Devoirs: 30 min French - La Parure, le passé simple.
