le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment mieux comprendre Cyrano de Bergerac..
  • Cyrano de Bergerac:  Took up questions for Acte V scènes. Can use questions, summary handout, mots cherchés for quiz  Friday.
    • Finished watching DVD.  It is available on YouTube if you wish to watch it again.
  • les devoirs:  Cyrano - Read Acte V to prepare for tomorrow's presentation, Journal/blog if not already completed.

le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment parler des événements à l'avenir.
  • Speaking activity: Watched short animated video, then described to partner who had been out in the hall. Avez-vous déjà vu Une girafe avec un collier? Avez-vous déjà vu un éléphant avec un nez?
  • Le futur simple: review lesson - regular and additional lesson - les verbes irréguliers - SmartBoard activity, discussion, examples, handout note, handout practice sheets (will be due Tues June 4 - check answers from keys at back of classroom and in blog posting FSF1D le futur simple - réponses.
  • Les rendez-vous des monstres: speed-dating reflection and self-assessment. Started today - due Monday or Tuesday.  Not a formal "essay", so no need to use entire writing process.  Please write double-spaced to make it easier to read and mark.  
    • la compatabilité - le plus et le moins - most and least compatible monsters.  Write a short description for each, discuss similarities and differences with your monster, and say why they might be a good/poor match. Use rating sheet and notes to help.  
    • la reflexion: What did you think you did well, not so well and how could you have better prepared?
  • les devoirs:   20 min or so on Les rendez-vous reflexion and/or le futur simple practice sheets.  There will be work time tomorrow too.  Journal/blog if not already done.

  • Speaking activity: Watched short animated video, then described to partner who had been out in the hall. Avez-vous déjà vu Une girafe avec un collier? Avez-vous déjà vu un éléphant avec un nez?
  • Au revoir les enfants:
    • Scènes 41 - 47 - resumés overdue.
    • scènes 48 - end - questions and resumés due Monday, but can hand in now if done. 
    • les résumés - brief summary of each scene - point form is fine, one sentence or point per page should be enough.
  • les pronoms d'objet directs & indirect handout package -  due Tuesday - checked and corrected.  Answer keys posted at back of classroom and on my blog FIF1D les pronoms d'objets - les réponses
    • les devoirs:  les pronoms d'objet handout, Au revoir les enfants - questions to end of book for tomorrow, resumés for Monday. Journal/blog. Any other work not yet completed.
