  • Reading: Les origines du chocolat. Download the article from the HUB module “Reading: la lecture” into Notability. Read on own or in groups.
    • Start with the last page of the document, question #11, Fiche: Mes Savoirs, filling in the first column of the table “Avant de lire” (Before Reading). 
    • Then, start reading the article in 4 steps using 3 colours of highlighter 
      • one for words that look like English (cognates) 
      • a second colour for words that you know 
      • a third for words that you will need to look up in the dictionary or on WordReference.com. 
      • Next, look up those words and note them on the document. 
    • If you finish the reading, start on the questions. The first one is just to summarize the main idea in each paragraph. Point form is fine. 
    • We will continue reading in class tomorrow. 
  • optional: Ma présentation d'une chanson: Planning time for own presentation. See the HUB module "les chansons" submodule "Discovering New Music" for the assignment details and for links to possible songs.
  • optional: Oral skills self-assessment: from the HUB module "auto-évaluation".

  • QuizUp - sign in or install the app and sign up. Try some of the quizzes with a partner in class.

  • Mon blogue: HWDSB Commons. Start writing an outline and then a draft for an introductory article about yourself. It will be 8 - 10 sentences. Include name, age, school, grade and city, then details about yourself i.e. personality, activities, interesting facts. Include a statement about goals for this course. 
  • If time: les verbes au présent - irréguliers - être, avoir, faire, aller. Language Gym
