  • Salute to Excellence assembly - many students attended

    • students used tablets and phones to find useful web sites for l'imparfait vs. le passé composé

    • Presentations continue Fri Nov 7 - Acte III scenes 8 - 14 and Acte IV sc.1 - 5 on Mon Nov 10.

    • Cyrano - read Acte III sc. 8-14 to prepare for presentation Friday.
      • Prepare for own presentations
    • journal/blog entry for this week - suggested topics: Prenons nos enfants au travail, l'Halloween (écrivez au passé) ou - votre choix.  Students should have at least 7 entries completed by the end of this week to be on track.

le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons du monde du travail.
  • Take our kids to work day is tomorrow - Wed. Nov. 5.  There will not be a lesson in this class that day. There will be independent work provided for any students who are at school instead of at a workplace.

    le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment mieux parler et lire.
    • speaking activity with cards
    • Reading and speaking - Etes-vous decontracte? - article, then analysed results.  Discussed if agreed with article or not.
    • Vocabulary development: 3 handouts: You mean you have problems: ex. A. B & C.  Answer keys posted below.  Not assigned for homework, but suggested that students invest the time to improve their knowledge and use of French.
    • Small group worked on planning our video for "La meilleure classe de français en Ontario".  See below for a photo of an example of the type of flag to create to reflect your own background and diversity.
