  • Reading practice – handout “Lire pour s’orienter”. Work in small groups (no more than 4 in a group). I will be correcting work with them tomorrow.
  • Notre-Dame de Paris – oral assessment tomorrow. Work in groups of 2 or 3 or 4 people to plan general ideas of conversation/presentation tomorrow – kind of like a panel discussion – which version of Notre-Dame de Paris preferred – the book or the Disney film, and why. Should work together today to make sure to have good notes done in the form of a Venn diagram. This is not a prepared speech, but should be interactive and relatively spontaneous.
  • Notre-Dame de Paris - newspaper articles.
    • the good copy is due tomorrow. If have computers here today, or if are writing their good copy by hand, can work on this in class. Otherwise, it is for homework. May use real newspapers as models and poster on bulletin board in classroom. Will be handing in all parts of the assignment - good copy, draft with revisions, la liste de contrôle, le gabarit, le remue-méninges et la grille d'évaluation. See photos below of posters in classroom for a rough visual model.
    • le passé composé et l'imparfait - Students will be using the past tenses in their newspaper article as correctly as possible. There will be practice activities and a test next week - May 14.
