Final examination information: 
  • Listening exam - Thurs. June 12 - in classroom 308, regular class time
  • Speaking exam - Fri. June 13 - in library, during regular class time. Talk about yourself.  Include a reflection on what you have learned this semester/this year - FIF 1D - 2 min - 2:30 min.  FSF 1D - about 2 minutes. Will be able to use an index card with brief outline.  See handout for details and rubric.  Students will hand in the rubric on Friday.
  • Reading/Writing (will include reading, some grammar, paragraph - choice of topics, can prepare point form outline in advance to use during exam.  Students will be receiving a mini-exam to help with preparation for the exam.)
    • per.1 - Wed. June 18, 9:00 - 10:30 am, room 308
    • per.3 - Fri. June 20, 9:00 - 10:30 am, room 308
    • per.4 - Mon. June 23, 9:00 - 10:30 am, room 308

  • les pronoms objets  - test   - le, la, les/lui, leur & y/en  Students can use a reference sheet prepared for the test.
  • les cercles de litérature

    • Presentations.  Include short summary (max. 2 minutes) of book, each person will say minimum 5 sentences, have some kind of visual aid. Try to make it interesting and entertaining - so, include connections, insights, what you learned, etc, not just summarize.
    • Reading with group - complete discussion and summary notes (just the notes, not a "good copy" will be submitted at time of presentation, but Friday June 13 at the latest. Include:
      • nom
      • le titre du livre
      • la date
      • les membres du groupe présent ce jour
      • la rôle
      • les pages/ les chapitres
      • les notes/ le sommaire
          • les devoirs: 
            • literature circles -  hand in summary notes if not already submitted. 
            • Can organize book or review les verbes, les numéros, or find something French as listening practice or speaking or pronunciation practice.  
            • Prepare outline for speaking exam. 
            • Get a good sleep tonight to be ready for listening exam tomorrow.  Listen to French music or watch some TV in French before bed to help your brain think in French.

            •  scenes 32-41 - only 6 students had finished the work, so we will correct it tomorrow.
            • scenes 41 - end -  read, questions, discussion notes, resumés - worked in class, complete for Monday June 16.  Resumés due Mon. June 16.
            • les devoirs:

                • finish reading book, questions and resumés to end of book for Mon. June 16.  Resumés due Mon. June 16.
