Site of the day: le calendrier de décembre  Today we watched Dec. 12 and 3.
FIF 2D

• Due today - le blog/journal - must hand in checklist (self-assessed) and the blog/journal. See blog/journal FIF 2D or handout given in September for details.
• Watched a few episodes of le calendrier du décembre (as above).
• Essay contest - scholarship money for prizes French for the Future - Concours de rédaction
• l'article du journal (newspaper article)  Due: today - le vendredi 12 décembre (originally due yesterday, but gave one extra day. Hand in all 5 parts in this order -  la bonne copie (good copy with photo/image). le brouillon (draft(s) showing proof of editing), la liste de contrôle, le plan, la grille d'évaluation (rubric).  May be typed or handwritten.
• Corrected test: le passé (p.c./imparfait/pqp)
• DVD: French Immersion
• Pas de devoirs pour la fin de semaine if all caught up.

• Watched a few episodes of le calendrier du décembre (as above).
• Au revoir les enfants 
• reading, re-reading and questions in handout package which will be due before the winter holiday break.  This is work that will be completed in class, so students must use their class time effectively.  Students who have not finished to the end of scene 20 were given books for the weekend to get caught up.
• Pas de devoirs pour la fin de semaine if all caught up.
• Au revoir les enfants - to end of scene 20 (if not already done.)

• We didn't make the top 5 finalists for "la meilleure classe de français en Ontario" from University of Ottawa, but we did an amazing video.  Here are the U of Ottawa top 5 videos and a link to Westdale 2014 la meilleure classe de français .  I will be creating a separate blog post to celebrate our marvelous work and I encourage you to share it.
• presentations for literature circles - group - summary of book (10 -15 sentences or so), individual - reaction/personal connection to the book (5 - 10 sentences).  Evaluated, and the goal is to speak in an interactive fashion, not a memorized speech.
